Enid Blyton Day: 12th May, 2007

Even when the Day is done, the day is not over. A small group set off into the woods for a Blytonesque picnic. The rain isn't likely to dampen their spirits!

Cold chicken, sandwiches, pasties, scotch eggs, hard-boiled eggs, Ming-balls (from Bangladesh — just for variety, you know), jelly and blancmange...

...all washed down with ginger beer and apple juice.
