1978 Board Game - F F Kirrin Island Treasure Quest
1978 Board Game - F F Kirrin Island Treasure Quest
Does anyone still have this game? My children had great fun with it in the 80's and now the grandchildren are of an age to play it but we don't know what happened to ours and would love to aquire another. Jean

I've just been reading an article about this game, and realised it sounds very similar to a board game my family used to play when I was a child called Buccaneer.

Re: 1978 Board Game - F F Kirrin Island Treasure Quest
I played Buccaneer with my sister when I was a child, and The Famous Five Kirrin Island Treasure Quest with my own children. They are pretty much the same game except that the players are Julian, Dick, George and Anne in the latter, instead of buccanneers. It's a bit odd really that the four children are rivals in The Famous Five Kirrin Island Treasure Quest, with each character having his/her own boat and trying to collect a piece of treasure from each location while preventing the others from doing so!
