Just finished reading the latest (possibly final) Rebus novel, and was amused to see a reference to Enid Blyton in it.
There's a scene where the team investigating a murder numbers only 5 detectives, and one of the characters points out that it was good enough number for EB.
"And in Scooby Doo" says another.
"Yes, but one of them was a dog" comes the rejoiner.
Which makes me suspect that Ian Rankin hasn't read any FF lately!!!
