I hope this makes sense to somebody as it's been annoying me for years!
At primary school I remember a book that we were read about a land at the top of a tree, sometimes it was there and sometimes it wasn't. There might have been a character called Moonman or something
I appreciate it's very vague, almost 30 years ago but I do hope somebody can enlighten me as to what book it might have been!

I suppose it's the Faraway-Tree series, the character is Moon-Face.

I'm sure you'll enjoy re-visiting them, Timmy. They are delightful stories, and the last several chapters of the final book (The Folk of the Faraway Tree) are downright thrilling!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
