Re: Agatha Christie
Just acquired fifteen more Agatha Christies ... I've nearly got all the Poirots now - just quite a few of the stand-alones and short stories to go. Hurrah!

I have indeed got all the Marples! Really enjoyed my last one, which was Nemesis. On Endless Night at the moment.

Today a parcel service delivered a set of 6 DVDs with twelve Miss Marple films starring Joan Hickson. It's almost about 20 years ago when I watched them the last time on TV.

Re: Agatha Christie
Ooh, how lovely! I've been watching Poirot with David Suchet, but haven't seen any of the Miss Marples yet. That sounds like great fun.

Re: Agatha Christie
I have started reading A Murder Is Announced by Agatha Christie and I am really enjoying the intriguing and unique storyline. Afterall: it isn't often, in a 'whodunit', that a murder is so blatantly and publicly scheduled and I found that particular element of the story very original and enthralling.
I also find it highly amusing reading about how this author portrays the featured community and neighbours as such nosey and curious people and the gossip that occurs in the opening chapters of this book is really entertaining and humorous! A really enjoyable book.

As usual beware of all the false clues and red herrings and pay very close attention to every name you read in the book!
