New version!
Welcome to the new forums! I just upgraded the forum's software to the latest version, so he we are with a new look and many new features. Take your time to look around and get used to everything. I am just getting to grips with the software myself, and I am looking into creating a new, more Blytonian theme for the forums at some point, too.
If you have any problems or questions, please post them in the "Questions, Comments & Suggestions" thread and I and others will do our best to help.
I hope you like it!

Re: New version!
I took a look around - and it certainly is great. I do miss the old look and theme, though!
Is this why I couldn't get into the forums for an hour or so?
I like the new features - have been adding a few "friends".
BTW, I see my smilies are enabled, but they don't seem to be displaying.

For a moment there I thought I'd logged onto the wrong page by mistake!!! Nice work - it looks good - though I do miss that little picture that ran across the top.
Right, now I'm going to do some more exploring of this "new" forum.

Re: New version!
Thank you, Jen-Jen. I think you are the only one who has said they like it! The montage of Blyton illustrations that serves as the site and forum header will be back, never fear.
Ming, you had the "Disable smilies" box ticked. I edited your post and unchecked it.

Re: New version!
Are there any plans to show birthday details, as previously, please?

Re: New version!
Hi, Matthew.
Are Links to off-site graphic files now only supposed to open (on a right click) in either a new Tab or a new Window? Or is this just a temporary 'teething' problem?

Re: New version!
I don't think it's a problem, Aurélien; it's much nicer this way in my opinion than to have the link replace the original page.
This thread refers to the forum revamp that took place in July 2007, I think. I wasn't around at that time.

"A holiday — a mystery — an adventure — and a happy ending for dear old Barney!" said Roger. "What more could anyone want?"
"An ice cream," said Snubby promptly. "Who's coming to buy one?" The Rubadub Mystery

Re: New version!
That's because it's a "sticky" (?) [I don't know what that means!] thread, and it will, I think, stay top no matter what.Aurélien wrote: Oops...didn't check the date 'cos the thread was on top.
Oh, thanks! I have my Scholarship exam on Sunday (goodness knows how I'll finish in just two days; but I'm not bothering about it since it isn't really important), and my Unit Test examinations start on the following day, i.e., Monday. They'll last till Friday. Well, it seems a tough week.*Thinking: And may you do as well in your current round of exams*
