Page needed for Mr Pink Whistle's Party

Post by shadow »

Hi

I have a 1955 newnes edition of Mr Pink-Whistle's Party that used to belong to my Mother. It is in a very sorry state with childish scribble and coloured in pictures but as I did that as a child I want to keep hold of the book. I have been reading the Pink-Whistle stories to the children and have noticed that page 67/68 has been ripped out.

Does anybody have a copy of the book and could they please send me a scan of the pages? Thank you in advance.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

I have 2 of the 3 pink whistle books but I cant remember right now which 2! I will try and remember to look when I get home as if I have a copy it will be from around that time :)
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I only have a Dean & Son copy too, I'm afraid, but if all else fails I could find and scan the missing section if you quoted the sentences just before and after.
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.

"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."
- E. Nesbit, The Wonderful Garden.

Drat, just checked and Party is the one I don't have. Typical!
