Blyton Tweet
I would like to suggest that we could have new a heading for a Blyton Twitter.
Only 140 words, Blyton related.
Mine would be on the recent tv programme;
"Great about the award--brilliant acting and production, content relentlessly negative."

Re: Blyton Tweet
I do not know about you. However, it has been a nightmare for me trying to use Twitter. Usually, I try to send some "tweets" only to be sent to an address I had used several months ago when I first signed onto Twitter. I think Facebook is far more user friendly than Twitter. Since one can write more than 140 characters using Facebook, who needs Twitter anyway?

Re: Blyton Tweet
I also found twitter a bit of a chore stephen and aunt fanny, eventually giving up and tiring of it.
Having said that, it's a nice idea to pay homage here if you wish aunt fanny.

"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: Blyton Tweet
As the more astute of you may have noticed, we have set up a Society Twitter site. We only have a handfull of followers at the moment (I see we have gone up to 27 at the moment!), but we are using it to 'Tweet' webpage updates, items of interest to Blyton fans and also updates to EnidBlyton.net.Aunt Fanny wrote:I would like to suggest that we could have new a heading for a Blyton Twitter.

You can find it at http://www.twitter.com/enidblytonsoc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - there is also a link from the Home Page, both here and on Keith's site.
Do take a look, who knows, you may be encouraged to 'sign up' (Stef, Keith Julie and I already have!) and follow us - although it is aimed primarily at non-forum people, as we are already on the ball with all things Blyton!

Re: Blyton Tweet
Ok I swore I would never sign up for Twitter as I regard it as really silly but, thanks once again to Enid Blyton, I find myself doing something new and I now have a Twitter account. The Society tweets look really good.

Re: Blyton Tweet
Even though I have signed up, I still struggle with this Twitter. I think it's so much simpler to email or phone!!!

You and me both, Julie! I can't even find out how to change my background image!

What a pair of dorks! Ming can't change her design? What has happened to my former guide, instructor, mentor......?
Settings>Design>Change Background Image (this is at the bottom of the page). As for phoning....any idea what that would cost, Julie? One simple Tweet reaches millions of people instantly. Well, a dozen or two!

Re: Blyton Tweet
Must be the cold - it's BEAUTIFUL weather for summer. We had three amazing thunderstorms over the past four days and my word, is the place 2 or 3 degrees cooler. Sheer bliss. You'd think my brain would work better at this time, but with the exams on Wednesday, I'm all messed up!Moonraker wrote:What a pair of dorks! Ming can't change her design? Thank you, by the way.
Incidentally, John, is brace48 you?
