Won't be missing for long! I might get Internet connection in UK, so I can still post, but for about 15 hours, I'll be on the plane. I'm scared. I have to be at the airport by 6:30 am, and have to get up at 5. And then I'll be missing.
I've got the consent form all ready, and it's safely tucked away in my suitcase. I'm very nervous about it!!

I'd love to see some of the original artwork for magazine covers etc, George, but only if you're happy to bring it. Also, didn't you once mention that you've got a German card game with stills from the series? It would be great to see that.[George@Kirrin:] If anyone is wanting me to bring any 78 related items for them to see let me know and I'll see what I can arrange
Ming the radio star - wow! Ming, we have every confidence in you!

Hi all.
Looks like Ming wont be the only subcontinental Blytonian up for fun and fantasy at the Day, I do hope to join in on the festivities as well..... but yes, I hope to learn even more this year on how to be unashamedly juvenile than I did the last time around.
I'm really looking forward to seeing some familiar smiling faces soon.

Last night Anita & I made the executive decision that the picnic is ON, although it may end up being in the Corfe Castle mini-bus!
Advantage - dry, and we can drive it somewhere more attractive than a Twyford car-park, and return to the pub afterwards
Disadvantage - the seats have head-rests which makes conversation more difficult. However, I don't think certain people will be deterred!
I shall bring a cool-box for folk to put their goodies in during the day, and plates, beakers, cutlery etc.
(Passing thought. Tony Blair was leader of the Labour Party before Ming was born. The day she arrives in the UK he resigns!)

The Enid Blyton Day
I'm really looking forward to "The Day." The other night I dreamt that I was in a car and heading for the venue which I thought was somewhere north of London. When I reached the hall I couldn't see anyone there so I turned the car around and then looking back I saw the Enid Blyton fans arriving but I wasn't able to return!
I need to be at the docks by 8.30am tomorrow (Friday). The boat leaves at 10 and I've taken one book to read on my journey - "The Sea of Adventure."
I just hope I'm not too late but if that occurs I'm sure the Enid Blyton officials will be able to keep the hall open a little longer so that I can see everything.
