Sorry to learn about the boat trip, Sally but thank you so much for your spade work and of course Cookham is fine.

Thanks Everyone for being so understanding. Will confirm numbers again later next week just to check all are on board (and may be others!).

It is a shame Sally, but can't be helped. We will fall in with whatever happens on the day.... not sure about walking the distance you mention though. Mark is pleased the new venue sounds as if it has a car park which I think the Marlow place did not have. We couldn't see one when we looked on Google Earth anyway.

I haven't commented on whether or not we will be able to attend as summer months are really busy times for us. Regrettably every weekend in July is accounted for with family matters, so sadly we won't be able to attend. I wish you all an enjoyable time, whether you walk, run or sail!

What a shame Nigel. It would have been great to see you again. :|

I'm sorry to have to report that due to unforeseen circumstances, Chick and I won't be able to make it to the Meet Up after all. We're very sorry to pull out so close to the date, but it is unavoidable. We'll certainly miss seeing friends old and new and hope that another get-together can be arranged in the not-too-distant future. We hope that all those who attend on 2nd July have a wonderful Blytonesque day.

Sorry all, but Stephen and I won't be able to make this meeting now. Like Eddie, I hope we can arrange another one next year at some point. Hope all those who attend enjoy yourselves. :)

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"

I'm afraid that Erika and I have got to pull out too. I have just started a new job and my commitments to that mean I cannot make it to the meet up. I'm very sorry about this but we hope to see some of you later on.

I'll still go, though I'm sorry quite a number of people I was looking forward to meeting (or re-meeting) won't be there. :(

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I think the only appropriate phrase here is "dropping like flies"
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.
