No excuse, old thing. Tell us the month that it is most convenient for you, and I'll arrange something!

If he is, I do have a list of ideas for you Nigel.
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Any month except April-June is all right, provided you pay for my plane ticket.

My favorite months would be May (according to travel guides the driest month in Great Britain) and October.

See, Tony, these people would love another EB day!

Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...

Occasionally will pop in! xx

Chrissie it is very hard to talk about dry months and wet months in England
as they vary so much. This year March was dry, April very wet, May dry, June very
wet, July very wet, August wet and September dry so far. Next year could be
the reverse! May however has plenty of daylight as does June and are therefore
good ones to choose. July is usually warm and dry (but not this year). Enid Blyton Days
are usually good weather (Enid looks over us!).

I dunno about that, it's been pretty wet up here this month!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Scotland is another country - especially where rainfall is concerned!

I was three times on vacation in Great Britain (each time in May for 3 weeks, the 2nd and third trip were to Cornwall, Devon and East Anglia) and was each time very lucky with the British weather (on an average only 5 rainy days during 22 days in the UK). Sometimes I believe the reputation of the British weather is worse than reality :).
However, it seems to vary within England. We spent a relatively dry and sunny time in Uxbridge/London from August to December in 2008 whereas a friend from the US who came to Britain on the QE2 had rain in abundance while travelling through the Northern parts. Maybe the south gets more sun and dry weather?

On the whole the I think that the south of England has higher temperatures than up here, though not sure that equates to better weather.

There is a considerable difference between north and south and west and
east with the north-west being the wettest and the south-east being the
driest. Parts of the south-east are drier than many parts of europe. This month
there has been a lot of rain in north-west England whilst here in Guildford it
has been very dry (we have to water the plants most days).
