It'll be great to meet you, Laura. Maybe next year my little friend from over the oceans will be able to make it... :|

She probably will! And knowing my luck I won't be able to go! As I'm looking at Plymouth Uni for my first choise after all!

Of course that all rather hangs on my Geography grade.... results in March...

Oh, I don't know - Plymouth is pretty near to Twyford, isn't it?, and there will be nothing stopping you from taking the weekend off. It'll certainly be easier than coming from St Andrews, and a lot more doable than Bangladesh or any other non-European country! :D

Anyway, good luck with your Geography result.

Plymouths the other side! Twyford's in the south east, vaguely where I am now, and Plymouth in the South West!

But Thanks Laura.

Oh well, they're both in the south as far as I'm concerned!

There is no way I can make it all the way to England from where I live.REASONS:
1)No way my parents can afford the trip.
2)No way they'll allow me to!
3)It doesn't help that I live countries across or that I'm 13!
Guess I'll just have to wait and hear the accounts of those who manage to make it.Anyone else facing the same situation.(It always helps to have someone to moan with!)

Welcome to the forums hope189, I recognize your signature from Keith's site. I'm sure the accounts of the day will be put here on the forums.

If you go to the 'Home Page', and look down at the titles on the left hand side. You will see a box for Enid Blyton Day. If you press this you can view information about previous EB Days and there are many photos here for you to look at.

Hi Hope189, if it pleases you, I can firmly assure you that I am faced with the same situation - moaning doesn't help it, though! I guess I'll have to wait for the chance.

Did you even try asking your parents, Hope? I didn't think my parents would let me come either. I kept on moaning about it to my brother who said, "Well, why don't you just ask?" And I did, and the rest is history. :D

Yes, my aunt doesn't mind me staying for the weekend, so I've bought my ticket and look forward to seeing all of you who can come. Now to buy my train tickets... :D
