Re: Enid Blyton Day 2009
Thanks a lot Pippa!!!Pippa-Stef wrote:You Ideally want Heathrow Airport.
Then you book a ticket on a couch line called Reading to Heathrow, which brings you into Berkshire.
Reading is what's locally known "Town". After there you have a choice of Busses to Woodely, Twyford, Lower Early, etc, or Taxis, which will take you whereever you choose to stay. May I suggest hiring a car maybe? From heathrow? Then you'd have transport for the duration of your stay, and makes it easier to get to Twyford, which takes a bit of Naigavtion.
I am happy to provide maps from where ever anyone stays to Loddon Hall, being local and all!
Then:
FIRST STEP: Fly to Gatwick.
SECOND: To hire a car in the airport.
Then drive to Twyford. Is difficult from Gatwick to Twyford? Is Twyford near from Southampton or is antoher Twyford?
Thank you!!!

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2009
Gatwick and Heath Row are two different airports! Heath Row is the nearer to Twyford. Car hire would be the easiest for you I think, if you are intending to travel around sight-seeing. I hope you manage to sort everything out and look forward to seeing you in May.

You want the Twyford located very close to Reading, not Twyford near Southampton!Oscar Spain wrote: Is Twyford near from Southampton or is another Twyford?

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2009
Hi again!
I know I know, I´ll fly to Gatwick (there´re more flies from Spain and a good price), then I rent a car in the airport and I travel to Twyford, near from Reading.
Thank you Daisy and Petermax!!
Now I´ve my ticket and I go to book my fly...

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2009
I have exams not long after the Day, too, but I am still working on coming, anyway. I just need to find out if my Berkshire-inhabiting Aunt and Uncle are going to be in for the weekend, and if I may stay for a few days, and then to see that the train tickets are not too expensive. It'll be my first Day, so I'm really looking forward to it, if I am able to go.
