Yes indeed it's a lovely cover, very autumnal. The Autumn is my favourite season and so the autumn Journal is always a great treat.

 Just remembered my subscription was due with the last issue and I hadn't paid it yet, so I have now. Many thanks to Tony as always.

I love the new cover too — I think there was a story about "hips and haws" that came up with one of Enid's Teacher's World letters to children that we've been following via the forums for the last few years! An uncollected short story, something about a little girl who had to collect the ingredients for a magic spell, with two cryptic clues to follow — one being "hip" and the other being "haw". (I think the latter was "half of a donkey's bray" and the "hip" one was some reference to the part of the body.)

I'll look forward to a preview of the article titles once they're up there, and to reading them in full when the time comes, of course!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

With Tony being without his computer I wonder if he may not be able to produce Journal 70?

I gather it was completed before the demise of the computer... so fear not... it will arrive ere long.
