You may have heard the story from a few days ago about a shipwreck washing up on the shore of the Orkney Islands.

Without any warning, the first image that came into my head upon reading the news story was of the shipwreck being washed up on the shore of Kirren Island in 'Five on a Treasure Island'. It must be 50 years since I read the book. The power of the best of the Enid Blyton books to stay in the memory is certainly long-lasting!
