Thank you Anita. I never would have got that because I had no idea wallflowers were actual flowers! I've only ever heard the term as meaning someone shy and awkward who doesn't join in with anything
.Pete - none of these books have many illustrations, just the odd one here and there. A pity as illustrations add so much to a story and really enhance the book. Mine are reprints though so I suppose it's possible there were more in the first couple of editions.
