There is a connection to the 'Looking for Fatty & Co ...' thread in which Green Hedges post of 12-Oct-17 asked about the signatures on Five Go Off To Camp and Last term At Malory Towers.

With regard to the latter, the British Library draft shows an instruction for the usual 'block' signature to be applied.
