Wow, well done IceMaiden (cool name by the way) ;-) I must admit although I love these Latimer editions, I really love the Black and Green illustrations in the bigger books. Well that makes 2 of us on here that own a copy of the elusive Benjy, anyone else care to share if they have a copy??? Not sure if that book in Australia ebay is still up for sale? Merry Christmas to all!

I don't have the book but I bought a pile of Sunny Stories magazines covering the dates of the serialisation of Benjy and the Others, so I've been able to read it that way.

That's a great way of obtaining the story, plus you are getting more stories into the bargain.

The Australian copy has gone. How strange for there to be two copies of this book at the same time, was it possibly the same one showing on Ebay Aus? I've noticed if you put a book title in on an other country Ebay if there is a copy available it will show up regardless of where it's from.

To put pictures on here, you need to upload them to a hosting site (e.g. Imgur) and then include the relevant tag/link in your post on the forums.

Just to add to what Anita said, 'OLD CLEAR ORF', you can also "embed" the picture into your post if you use the "img" code. When typing the post, you write it like this: (img)direct link to your image(/img)

Except that the brackets either side of the two "img" codes should be square ones — [ and ] — not rounded. I used rounded ones there so the computer wouldn't think I was actually trying to post an image, which then sends the post a bit haywire!

You need to have the direct link to the image itself, which should end in .jpeg or .jpg. or .png (easiest way to get this is to right-click on the image on the hosting site and choose "Copy Image Address". For your Benjy cover image, it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/ayBBl1L.jpeg

If I put that link between those two "img" codes (using the square brackets this time), then when I submit this post, the image comes up embedded in it:

Image

A bit complicated, but worth knowing how to do! :D (The other quirk is that for this particular forum, there's a size limit of 720 pixels, height and/or width, so any larger images need to be resized before they'll work.)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Courtenay, the second part of the image code only has a '/' before the 'img' and not after.

Also, the pixel size on linked images is not essential. The forum automatically sizes them to fit the page width. The image you linked to in your post is actually 838 pixels wide.

I have no idea how that happened, as I do know how to use BB code (or I wouldn't have tried explaining it) — obviously a typo that occurred while I was posting. I'll edit it, thanks.

Ah, that's a new one to me — it used not to resize anything, but just refused to let you submit a post with any image that was too big!! Must have been changed when the forum software was updated. That's good to know. :D
