Re: Five Go Off to Camp
I saw the 'Ghost Train' at the theatre a few years ago - I think it was written by Arnold Ridley of Dad's Army fame. I do like this Famous Five book as it was one I read as a young boy and thought it was very romantic, I lived near a railway line with lots of steam trains so it seemed very real to me.

You're spot on, Francis. The Ghost Train was indeed written by Arnold Ridley of Dads Army fame! I would've loved to have seen the film on the big screen. There used to be a cinema in Nottingham that used to show the old film's, but I'm not sure if its still up & running anymore. I can remember seeing Casablanca there several years ago. A lot better than watching it on telly/DVD!
