Thanks for posting the soft covers, Tony - personally I still prefer the coloured dust wrapper versions.

I know this is going to be controversial...but looking at the Robin Hood cover and internal illustrations, does anyone else think that this uncredited illustrator could be Dorothy Wheeler? Very similar style anyway!

I'm making work for myself as I now have the other books sitting by my scanner to have their colour plates done! I guess I did Robin Hood as Terry had sent a review! It would be nice to credit the illustrators, Rob!!

I think there are big similarities between the depiction of clothes, faces and especially the trees in the two examples above.

As I scrolled down and the figures came into view "Faraway Tree" came into my head, so yes, Rob, I do see what you mean and agree it seems possible that Dororthy Wheeler may be the artist.

Just been looking at these two volumes in the cave and wondering what the story Elsie's Adventure is like...

Here's a book I hadn't come across before,with a series of short stories that don't seem to have appeared in too many other collections.



There seems to be a 1982/1992? book called Enid Blyton Tiny Tale/s,but I don't know if it is connected to this volume?

It's a nice little book! I have it but without the dust jacket. Each story covers just one page, with a full page illustration by Eileen Soper.

Unfortunately I can only photograph them - but here's a couple more.

They are all only one page long. I think they originally appeared in a women's magazine?

They each have a lovely full page illustration though.
