Readathon - The Secret of Moon Castle

Post by Poppy »

Split from another thread

Does anyone fancy a new readathon? If so, what are suggestions for a book? I was thinking of something like The Secret of Moon-Castle, but I don't mind. It would be good to have a new one however as I think the last one was for The Mystery of the Spiteful Letters which didn't last very long, I don't believe.

Great! (What a coincidence, Pete!) We'll wait for a few more people to agree to participate and then think about deciding a date to begin the readathon. :D

I'd quite like to re-read this book so I'll certainly try to join in if I can.

Like others I am happy to re-read this book and will try to join the readathon although life is hectic these days so I may not have time. But it's been a long while since we had a readathon and this book is a good choice.

So shall we say in about twelve days time (21st November) so that everyone has time to get the book and read it? Of course anyone can join in whenever, but if we aim to start on the 21st. It looks like several people have agreed to participate. :D

Yes, me too. This will be the second time I have read the book. I read it once when I was about nine when a friend lent it to me and I was thrilled with it and looked forward to reading time most enthusiastically!

I'm sure you'll like it just as much this time! :)
You'll probably spot a lot more things that you didn't notice back then, as well.
I've heard people say it's the weakest of the Secret Series, but it's always been my favourite, what a fab plot it has and a fantastic location!

I'm sure you'll love it, Nick! I look forward to hearing everyone's views. I will probably begin reading the book on Monday after a few more Secret Sevens! :D
