Get Into A FIx was a great book, one of the best in the series. It would have been great if the series had ended there, in 1958. Instead, we had to endure four more books, with the annoying Tinker, Wilfred and Junior. And Billycock Hill was one of my favourite later books too. Besides dealing with adult themes like treason, it also featured Toby, the last of the solid support characters in a FF book, although he wasn't in quite the same league as Jo and Henrietta.
