I'm read a book of Enid Blyton : Un chien pour Dominique, in french. Is anybody knows the original title ? It's the history of a boy who loves animals, but he can't have for him because the parent's of the boy don't want. But, finaly, he can have a dog just for him. Excuse me for my english ... That could be The Boy Who Wanted A Dog. He gets to work in a vets, then at the end, he does get his own dog.
