Yes, there are several books there.
"A holiday — a mystery — an adventure — and a happy ending for dear old Barney!" said Roger. "What more could anyone want?"
"An ice cream," said Snubby promptly. "Who's coming to buy one?" The Rubadub Mystery

Aurélien wrote: And, of course, *looking over shoulder ready to duck any old boots hurled by Moonraker* there is also the terrific if less widely known 14-book CHERRYS series by Will Scott, with excellent maps, coloured dustjacket pictures, and internal line-drawings by the late Lilian Buchanan, who (naturally) likewise illustrated some Blyton books.
No boots, Aurélien! Au contraire, I have borrowed a copy of The Cherrys of River House from a learned friend, and will post my comments on it in due course!

Good on you, Moonraker.

Once one has learned to cope with the seismic culture shock of active engagement/involvement/participation of *gasp* some of the grown-ups or 'Bigs' in the 'Happenings', Scott's CHERRYS books are a jolly good read. Especially :) to readers who have a keen enjoyment of the sense of fun and the stir of adventure in the best of EB's books.....

(Those wanting a little more information on this series are referred to the appropriate thread, here.)

:) :) :) The thing is, Moonraker, just to relax and enjoy a fun read....after all it's almost Christmas. And  if a UK Christmas is anything like as overworked, unpleasant, grim, and even distressing a time as it is for our NZ paramedics you will need something wholesome to switch your mind on to.
