Are you talking about a serialisation of the whole book, William? That's interesting.

It was my understanding that I had the first part of it.
I may have kept it as I was on holiday in Swanage riding the rails to Corfe Castle.
I thought that the book was not going to say anything new. Dorothy got a large write up.

I found the The Daily Mail Article of August 2018.
It was an article about the book. With Big headlines stating 3 aspects of scandal. There was a photograph of Enid (fully clothed) with Kenneth in the tennis court.

In the article the last paragraph said Enid lived a life far removed from the world she wrote about.

She and Edith Nesbit would seem to share very interesting personal lives. Edith Nesbit husband had a mistress and Nesbit brought up his love child as her own. She wrote the Railway Children for him!

Ah yes - Kate Mary gave a link to the Daily Mail article earlier. It was written by Nadia Cohen herself!

Regarding E. Nesbit, I've been a great fan of her books ever since I was a child. I've read two biographies of E. Nesbit, one by Doris Langley Moor and one by Julia Briggs, and Edith and her first husband Hubert Bland certainly led an unconventional life!

Concidentally The Real Enid Blyton comes out on September 30th and not August 30th as originally stated and this is also the date that Pen and Sword are publishing The Extraordinary Life of E. Nesbit by Elisabeth Galvin which is another £19.99 hardback. This latter author emailed me earlier this week as she wants to do a biography of Enid Blyton next - but possibly she doesn't know about the Cohen book! I owe her a reply.

I've never understood why people prefer sensationalism to realism. It seems to be a growing trend in the media, though, when one thinks of all the scaremongering around Brexit (and non-Brexit) - around Jeremy Corbyn - around the Novichok poisonings, around Donald Trump, and even Boris Johnson's Burqa comments. Sensationalism seems to sell copy, and that's all these so-called 'reporters' are bothered about. It seems half the population are sensation-obsessed zombies!
