Re: 70s Famous Five on DVD?
Extras sounded good, but extra extras sounds marvellous! I'm really looking forward to getting a copy of the DVD!

Re: 70s Famous Five on DVD?
As ever, you all beat me to the announcement! Yes our beloved Famous Five series is coming out on DVD in the UK very soon. Gary Russell, Marcus Harris, Jennifer Thanisch and I just filmed some extras for it last week. As ever, we loved being together and reminiscing about our series. And let me reassure you all that Gary and Marcus are both still as handsome as ever.
I have the German set and the quality of it, like the UK one, is outstanding. Remember that the last time we saw the series was in the 1970s, probably on wonky Granada Radio Rentals tellies; or on video. The series has now been digitalised remastered and, having been shot on film originally with no expenses spared, is breathtaking. You won't have seen it like this before. I hope you all enjoy it!

Re: 70s Famous Five on DVD?
Other than the 15 quid cheaper bit (I like that bit!) what's the Collectors set got that the 2 individual Series sets haven't, do you know?
Re: 70s Famous Five on DVD?
Wow, I've just added it to my Amazon wish list. I thought the price was quite reasonable for 6 discs.
This is when I wish my birthday wasn't so close to Christmas, as I've got to wait a long time before I'm likely to get it though.

Excellent. I wont pre order it just now though. As Zar Quon says it may come down a bit in price nearer the time. But this is definitely fab news.

I'm not sure what's on where yet but I would guess that the Collector's Set has the extras. But I don't know for sure at this moment. I'll let you know when I do.
Naturally I'd suggest that you buy all three! :0)

I'd love to, however those nice people at Network keep forcing me to buy their discs, thus I can only afford the collectors set...GailRenard wrote:Naturally I'd suggest that you buy all three! :0)

Just pre-ordered mine. (amazon have promised only to charge lowest price if it comes down, so no reason to delay)

Re: 70s Famous Five on DVD?
Oh, I dunno - bound to drop a bit if you give it a month or two after publication. And I've waited quite a while for nice shiny copies of the 70s series, so a few extra months won't hurt (plus I have far too much to watch as t'is...)Wayne Pyer wrote:Just pre-ordered mine.
