1978 Series Poll Thread
Re: 1978 Series Poll Thread
Love the idea can't wait for July 3rd. The waiting is torture.
There is always something else new to learn.

Re: 1978 Series Poll Thread
Hi I'm back. The explanations from Tony and Anita are spot on. I made an effort to use mainly Two-Parters in the poll and also those most popular ones from PP's thread. I dont seem to see an option to add more choices at this stage, perhaps it can only be done at the initial stage. I think the eight chosen episodes provide the best and most popular choices for discussion though of course some people will prefer others. Sorry to anyone whose fave was'nt included.

I'm sort of itching to vote.
However only one episode really springs to mind, so probably not fair that I do. I wouldn't want to effect the outcome if an episode won by only one vote!

This is a Green Knight Book which means that it is a book by one of the most popular authors of all.

Am I being thick, Rob? Why shouldn't you be allowed to vote?Viking Star wrote: However only one episode really springs to mind, so probably not fair that I do. I wouldn't want to effect the outcome if an episode won by only one vote!

Everyone is entitled to vote so please go ahead Rob. Some episode has to win.

No, I'm afraid I'm definitely thickie of the week (Julie2 caught me out on another string)! I didn't see the 'which episode would you like to discuss' strapline. I thought it was a straightforward 'which was the best episode poll'. But thanks both!Moonraker wrote: Am I being thick, Rob? Why shouldn't you be allowed to vote?

Have voted!
Missed most of this discussion through not being online much - apologies!
I'm on night shift on the 3rd, so anyone got an idea of when the viewing and discussion will be set for? I'll try and arrange my sleep around it

I'm on all day shifts on the 3rd and 4th so I'll probably do my viewing on the 2nd and try to post some comments in the discussion on either the evening of the second or evening of the third. I see it as kind of like the readathons that we did with the conversations eolving over a couple of days. Or would people prefer to try to be all online together? That might be difficult due to the geographical spread.George@Kirrin wrote:I'm on night shift on the 3rd, so anyone got an idea of when the viewing and discussion will be set for? I'm flexible anytime after half three. So whatever people come up with really!

"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

That's the way I think it would work best too, as members live in different time zones and have different schedules. Personally I expect to be quite busy for most of the afternoon and evening on 3rd July, so if Lucky Star happens to post his comments on the evening of the 3rd I'd hope to be able to join in on the 4th.Lucky Star wrote:I see it as kind of like the readathons that we did with the conversations evolving over a couple of days.

Will we be told when this thread is closed so that we can then view the winning video ready for the discussion on the 3rd.

Re: 1978 Series Poll Thread
Yes I thought we might close it on Sunday night if no-one objects? Voting seems to have halted over the last few days so if we give it the weekend to see if anyone else wants to jump in then we can declare a winner and have four days in which to watch the winning episodes. Is that OK with all?
