I live quite near Perth, but it's the other one!

Sorry, I couldn't resist there. :D

But count me in on the watchathon, if I can get internet access then. I'm staying at a campsite in the south of France until September, and the it costs 5 euros to go on the internet there, for half an hour, so there isn't much I can do about that. (Right now I am sitting in the nearby McDonald's, which has the only wi-fi for miles around, and I can't promise that I can come in here on the 3rd. )

Sounds like a great idea to watch and compare the two shows. Shall we agree an episode then? How about Demons Rocks? Or should we add a poll with a few options? Suggestions please. :)

The 1970s Demon's Rocks is available on YouTube but I couldn't find the 1990s one. I might have missed it though - perhaps someone else can find it? I've got both versions of Demon's Rocks on video - in fact I've got all the 1970s episodes but I'm missing about five titles from the 1990s series.

Something weird is happening to this thread, Bannerman can only take part in an online discussion with people who live in the same place as him and Laura appears to be camping for four months!

As the two part adaptions were generally the best what about watching one that was a two parter in both series like Five go to Smugglers Top or Five go down to the sea?
I think both are available on youtube

Good suggestions, Murphy. Don't know what others think?

The 1990s version of Demon's Rocks is most certainly available on Youtube, here is the URL for Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSXtrGBg1Uo

I personally favour Five Go Off In A Caravan, both the 1970's and 1990's versions are available on Youtube. These adaptations are very different from each other and different again from the original book, it should ensure an interesting discussion if chosen for the viewathon.

Thanks, Petermax. Perhaps we should have a poll as Lucky Star suggested?

Yes, I pondered over that, as well!

Maybe Bannerman (wasn't that a hit in the 70s by Blue Mink?) could meet up with Michael Edwards, they could watch the episodes together, and report back to us. :D

Caravan would be interesting, due to the fact Marco Williamson's in a plaster cast! :) And the funny facial expressions are a hoot, and The 70's one is probably my second favourite episode.

But as it happens I'm up for any! As Long as I can find most of them on Youtube (And I know I can) the 90's ones aren't a problem, it's the 70's ones, because a part from Hike, Caravan and Adventuring Again, I don't have any on video or DVD!

Caravan sounds fine to me too. I tried to post a poll but I think only the originator of the thread can do that. Do you want to post a poll PP? Otherwise I'll start a new thread with a poll tomorrow.
