Went to Lymington today, and saw the Old Quay where a small bit of Trouble was filmed. The quay is altered now as they have a flood defence just behind where Perton was standing.

I've not been to Lymington quay for about 3 years, so it's interesting to know of any changes that's occurred since my last visit. Where else are you going, Julie? :D

Burley Manor looked lovely, I took a photo of that too. Sadly I don't know the location they used for Gloomy Water.

No where else this year, with regards to the F.F. locations, Number 6.

The location that doubled for 'Gloomy Water' is Sowley Pond. It is located about 5 miles East of Lymington. It's reached by taking a minor road from Lymington towards East End village. The Pond is South of the village & is enclosed in woodland, but you can see the Pond from the road near Sowley farm. I'd advise you to purchase a map of the area. The map you need is Ordnance Survey New Forest OL 22. It shows all the lanes & minor roads you'll encounter & will stop you getting lost(Hopefully!). :D

Enjoy your stay at Burley Manor! :D

Oh, that's a pity! At least you managed to bag a few locations this time round...& the added bonus of having good weather, as well. :D

Yes,thank you.I notice the pond was created by monks in the 14th Century.

Did Gloomy Water feature in the 1996 series? If so,what location did they use? Thank you.

Interesting to learn about the Monks, Pete. I love history, so I'll have to delve into Sowley Ponds past in the near future. Thanks for the info.
I've only just started watching the 90's series & haven't got that far as yet, so I wouldn't know. However, I think they would've used a different location than the 70's version. There are other formites who are avid fans of the 90's series, so maybe they'll know more. :D
