Famous Five 1970's bits I've scanned in!

Post by josiejo »

I thought it was better to start a new topic on this, rather than post in the Michele thread - but I had a chance tonight to scan in my old Famous Five signed (well, they're printed-signed!) pictures, as well as a photo of the membership card and badge - these all date back to the 1970's, for definite.

I can't remember if you got the cards automatically, or whether my mum made me write to Southern Television, and they sent the cards. For some reason I have duplicates of one card, which makes me think that maybe we did write a letter (bet it was a fan letter!).

I also have an old Look In annual, but the front page is missing - it has a picture of the five in the front, though only Dick and Anne, with some small puppies on a farm, but there's an article I've scanned inside it, click on the images for a larger scan.

Here's the link anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

WOW!!!

The scans are simply AMAZING, Josiejo. And when I say amazing, I really mean amazing! Such lovely pieces of memorabilia!

I've printed out the cards. Hats off to you, Josiejo.

Thanks again!

Love,
Almas

Thank you very much for scanning this! :)

I knew the cards from the German website. But the annual´s article was new to me. It´s interesting that Michele was relieved that her hay fever was mentioned in the second series. But it´s a little strange that the article features photos from the first series although it´s about the filming of the second series.

Wow, Josie, they're wonderful!

It's interesting to compare how much Marcus and Gary's signatures have changed!!

Oooooooh! Even your scans are brilliant, Ming! Did you get them while you went to the Enid Blyton Day?

Oooooh! Did you display them on the Treasure Cave page at Heather's Blyton Pages?

thanks everyone! I was racking my brain to think of anything else I might have - I don't think they feature in any of my old Brownie annuals, but I'll check anyway :)

I know I have just one of the books nowadays, but with photos from the tv series - but that's all - glad you all enjoyed!
