And not just in "Five Get Into Trouble", it was written into two other episodes I can immediately name.Moonraker wrote:Michele suffered with hay fever unfortunately, which was why it had to be written into the script.
In fact, I daresay, if Michelle did suffer most from hay fever, it was more noticeable in the 2nd series/season.
Strangely enough, after the brief mention thereof, she seems okay from there through the rest of the episode!
- From the opening scene of "Five Get Into Trouble":
AUNT FANNY: "George! Have you got the first aid box?"
GEORGE: "Yes. And the [pills] for my hayfever."
AUNT FANNY: "Well, you make sure you take them."
GEORGE: "I do, but they don't do any good." - From the opening "hide-n-seek-scamper-round-the-house" scene from "Five Go To Demon's Rocks":
[Upon leaving the cupboards under the stairs with Anne, George soon sneezes twice....
JULIAN: "George, if your hayfever's that bad, why don't you get your father to invent something?"
GEORGE: "He tried, but it didn't work. It made it worse!"
DICK: "I've got a cure, George: ....
[Soon Tinker Hayling runs by, making like a racing car, noise and all!
[...]
DICK: ... Stop breathing!"
[In mock anger, George clambers over the railing onto the stairway steps and gives chase to Dick! - From the first beach scene in "Five Fall Into Adventure":
[While running along the beach shore with the others, George soon sneezes....
ANNE: "Have you taken your hayfever pill this morning, George?"
GEORGE: "No, they make me sleepy."
DICK: "Oh, we all thought you'd taken a double dose, didn't we?"
[In mock anger, George lightly grabs Dick around the neck to teasingly pretend to choke him as they continue to run!
