What was this tooth fairy story from?
This was one from my childhood in the early to mid 80s, if I recall it was in a compilation book with a yellow cover. Although I can’t remember if it was Sunshine or bedtime in the title. The tooth fairy story was about a young boy with a wobbly tooth who finds out that the tooth fairies take the tooth and grind it to powder for spells.

Welcome, Farawaygirl. That sounds like 'Derek's Loose Tooth', which has been retitled 'The Birthday Spell' in some short story collections. If you type each title into the search box in the Cave of Books (click on 'Society Website' at the top of this page to see the 'Cave of Books' button over on the left), you can see which books the story has appeared in. The Cave doesn't include every single book that has been published since Enid Blyton's death, but knowing the story title may perhaps be of some help to you anyway.
