Hi. I'm looking for this book I used to own. Bought it in the mid eighties. I gave it away in 2001 and it's lost now. It was a tall, hardcover edition of T.E.W., with colour illustrations. Really lovely. It was a present from my mom when I was a kid and my favourite book of all time.

In case anyone reading this isn't sure, I think you're referring to reprints 3 and 4 in the Cave of Books, Oindrila (see link below). They have different covers but are the same inside, with striking illustrations by Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone. They come up from time to time on eBay.
