Yorkshire Vikings is the name the Cricket team have in the one day competitions that involve each team taking on a silly nickname (they were Yorkshire Phoenix for a while).

I had one or two other options like Pudding (and the more gory Ripper), but I thought they were too easy so opted for the trickier VIkings as I already thought Terrier might be too much of a giveaway.

All the connecting words concern FEET in some way.
If this actually is correct perhaps Break is the red herring.

It's not the connection that I had - but it's a much cleverer one, and it's the same 4 clues that I opted for.

I went with:

Change last letter for food - Ego, Break, Jay, Hat.
(Egg, Bread, Jam, Ham)

Which just leaves: Ball, Bag, Drunk, Line.
