Helicopter in an Enid Blyton Story?
Can you think of any Enid Blyton story that includes a helicopter?
There's one very obvious one, but I don't think there are many.
Can we name five??

The Rat-a-Tat Mystery
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: Helicopter in an Enid Blyton Story?
A helicopter is mentioned in a short story about Santa:
Santa Claus Gets Busy from Enid Blyton’s Bright Story Book, 1952
Santa’s reindeer are ill and sneezing their heads off. The stable-man suggests that Santa heads out in a helicopter to deliver the presents.
Santa Claus snorted like a reindeer. “A helicopter! What next? I don’t go in for these new-fashioned things. I’m old fashioned and I like reindeer for Christmas Eve. Now – where in the world can I get some?”

A superb last minute entry from the knowledgeable Fiona means we have reached our quota!
Well done everyone. Of course if you can think of any Choppers we've overlooked please post about 'em here!
Now, I'm going to read that story, Santa Claus Gets Busy. I have the version included in The tenth Holiday Book from 1955:

Re: Helicopter in an Enid Blyton Story?
That's not the same story, Pete. The one from the Bright Story Book ends with Santa Claus borrowing reindeer from London Zoo and enchanting them to fly with the words annimaloolipatahmakaroo. Yours actually has a helicopter in it rather than just one being mentioned, though!

That's really intriguing Fiona! So the story has the same title, but a different ending in the 1952 Bright Story Book, which I think according to the cave originated earlier in the Sunday Graphic Dec 21, 1947...

The things you keep on discovering here are amazing - thanks.

Not technically Blyton, but there was a helicopter in the New Zealand TV version of "Valley of Adventure".

There's also a play called Santa Claus Gets Busy by Blyton!

Re: Helicopter in an Enid Blyton Story?
*imagines*
Santa:
Gnomes and fairies, I must say goodbye,
Drive my 'copter up into the sky,
I’ll come back again another year to you,
But now I must depart and journey all night through!
