...and there, hidden among the leaves, was Peronel. She had beautiful golden hair and was dressed in silvery white with silver wings on her back.

Continuing with the same book, what was the newspaper headline about himself that Mr. Goon (day)dreamed of?

"Brave Constable Rescues Prince"?

This is a wild guess, so probably wrong.

I've not long read this. I think it could be:

Brave Constable Rescues Kidnapped Prince.
" A kind heart always brings its own reward," said Mrs. Lee.

Thank you.

Who said this and in which book did they say it?
...let’s have a Meeting this afternoon - A Meeting of the Famous Find-Outers and Dog!
Bonus point: Does any other book/short story refer to them as The Famous Find - Outers and Dog?
" A kind heart always brings its own reward," said Mrs. Lee.

I think it was Fatty in The Mystery of Banshee Towers, Pete.

I don’t recall them being referred to as The Famous Find-Outers and Dog anywhere else, but I could be wrong.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.
