It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I was just about to write Major Plank with complete confidence, when I suddenly realised that's a similar character Jeeves & Wooster encounter.

Cigarettes?
The Chief looked at Fatty. "Brains are good, courage is excellent, resourcefulness is rare," he said, "but generosity crowns everything, Frederick. One of these days I'll be proud of you!" - "Vanished Prince".

Re: Find-Outers Series Quiz
It's a tricky question so I'll say that's close enough, Anjalli.
It's actually a box of matches, but we're told he then went out lighting a cigarette - so the matches were for the cigarettes you guessed at.
Over to you.

Thank you Bertie, that was nice of you.
New question:
In 'Holly Lane' Daisy gave Fatty a ticket for the Church Sale to sell to Mr. Goon when he was disguised. How much was the ticket?

Yes Yak, or 2 half crowns that Mr. Goon paid Fatty for the ticket when he was disguised as a foreign lady and read his palm. Also five bob as Mr. Goon said when he went to Fatty's mom to ask about said foreign lady. Over to you.
