Hopefully there has not been a game like this one before. Here is how to play:

Somebody sets a question which should look a bit like this : Julian & _____? It can be any character (Julian is just an example) The next person has to complete the phrase saying who is Julian's brother/sister/friend. Please include this in your post whether you want a brother or sister or a friend. This is what the answer should look like: Julian & Anne. It could also be Dick. Then wait for the person to correct it then the next person can set a qustion. Hope you've all got that! Here's the first Question.

I like your idea though Pete and I considered it myself but what if no friends were mentioned in the book or the character didn't have a sibling?
