Re: Who Played This Trick?
One of the three girls was surely Susie from the Secret Seven books (possibly occurring in Secret Seven Fireworks) so presumably set up by the Secret Seven or an individual member of the group?

I think I can put up my question--- In which book did Pip play a trick on Fatty seeing him down in the dumps?-- What was the trick he played?

It was The Mystery of the Invisible Thief and Pip put the huge shoes over his own and made huge foot prints which led Fatty to work out how the thefts were committed.
