The land of dreams?
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Re: Hangman
I had thought of The Land of Dreams, but I think that features in two books.
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.
"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."
- E. Nesbit, The Wonderful Garden.

Re: Hangman
Sorry! I checked the Wiki lists of lands in each book and couldn't see it more than once - but I'm quite prepared to take Anita's word over Wiki's any day of the week. Sorry if the clue was a dud! *slap wrist*

Re: Hangman
Sorry - one is Adventures of the Wishing-Chair and the other is one of the Faraway Tree books, I think The Magic Faraway Tree.

That clue only made me think of Metallica and Enter Sandmancranberry wrote: Cryptic clue: Exit light, enter night, take my hand, we're off to never never land.
I'm not going to guess this one as I've a very bad track record of not setting a new puzzle.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Yep, that was the idea - since the first character the children encounter when they enter the Land of Dreams is the Sandman (who throws sleepy sand into their eyes to trap them in the Land).Fiona1986 wrote:That clue only made me think of Metallica and Enter Sandman
