Thanks Bertie, perhaps Fatty would be impressed by my powers of deduction!!!
Next question: In Five go off in a Caravan the name of the elephant in the circus is "Old Lady". True OR False?

Re: True or false?
Without reading the book again I can’t be sure but I think the elephant was just called Lady so I would say FALSE.

Re: True or false?
Sorry Barnard, it was TRUE, although I agree that it is a very unusual name for an elephant.
Do you want to continue or will I?

I’m amazed, Monique. I was sure I’d remembered correctly. I think you should have another go.

OK Barnard, here comes the next question, which is: In "Five Go Down To The Sea" The Penruthlans had seven children...TRUE OR FALSE?

Re: True or false?
Having thought about this for seven months, I'm none the wiser. So I'll just get False, and if it's wrong that should at least help the next guesser.

Re: True or false?
Sorry Bertie, it is TRUE!
On page 36 of Five Go Down to the Sea when Dick sees the breakfast he says: 'Mrs Penruthlan, your seven children must have been very sorry to marry and leave home. I feel, if I'd been one of them, I'd have stayed with you for the rest of my life!' It is a small detail that is easily forgotten due to the fact that the Penruthlan children no longer live on the farm and do not appear in the story.
Nevertheless, would you like to set the next True or False question?

Re: True or false?
Thanks, Boodi.
I don't really feel like I deserve it, having guessed the question wrong, but here goes...
In The Mystery of the Pantomime Cat, the little girl that Daisy and Bets bought Dolls furniture for was called Janet?

Re: True or false?
It was actually false, but it was a really difficult one to remember as the actual name was Jane, not Janet. It was too close a name to pick for such an obscure character. I should have gone for something distinctly different.
You can have the next turn though, as I got my go after guessing wrongly as well.
