Correct, it is Jack's friend Richard Lawson, who is initially very impressed with Melisande, which makes Jack feel ashamed of his twin sister Jane. When Jack tells Jane that he is ashamed of her she is very hurt, but then resolves to "improve" herself and succeeds, with the result that the next time Richard visits he does not recognise her and thinks she is very attractive!

Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks. I take it is me to set the next question then. I will think on it overnight and come up with something fiendishly difficult. !

In Five go to Mystery Moor George gives Sniffer one of her own hankies as he keeps sniffing. The hanky is large covered in white and red spots.

Quite right, it is red and white stripes. So over to you for the next question. By the way I saw a first edition of Mystery Moor for sale and so I bought it as I only had a kindle edition. I didn't think there would be any text changes from the kindle (current) version but there are. I will detail them in another post (on the books forum). One of them really made me laugh.

Here is another question.

In Three Cheers, Secret Seven, the name of the bank manager who holds the keys to Bartlett Lodge while the owners are abroad is called Mr Grim.

I think it is false as Georgie Grim was the gardner.

The answer is both true and false, depending on whether you count the incorrect spelling. The boy in the story was 'Wilfrid'.

TRUE. In Vanished Prince, Ronald was camping in the same fields as Ern and his brothers.

Next statement:

When Goon saw the two 'Mr Larkins', that was the only time he saw a disguised Fatty together with a lookalike.
