Do you think you should just set the next question, Boatbuilder?

Re: Famous Five Books - a Quiz
If nobody minds, I’ll set a question. It’s quite a tough one though!
What is the three-digit telephone number for Kirrin Cottage?

Re: Famous Five Books - a Quiz
As nobody has had an attempt at this, is it 123?

Re: Famous Five Books - a Quiz
Good guess, not that high a number. In fact, it was possibly one of the first telephones installed at Kirrin. The first digit is 0.

Is it 001.....just a guess.
The Chief looked at Fatty. "Brains are good, courage is excellent, resourcefulness is rare," he said, "but generosity crowns everything, Frederick. One of these days I'll be proud of you!" - "Vanished Prince".

Re: Famous Five Books - a Quiz
You got it, John! Kirrin 011. I believe Julian gives out the number to the telephone operator at the end of Fall into Adventure when sending his uncle a telegram.
I can only just vaguely remember telegrams, but I was always under the impression they were a same-day message that you “sent” at the post office by filling in a form, and the recipient received a hand-delivered written message (from the telegram boy!) Yet in the FF they seem to both dictate and receive the messages over the phone.

Telegrams could be sent in person or by phone. I found this article interesting:

Thanks Morgan, a lucky guess!
In 'Five Go Off To Camp" what did Jock do to his cousin that got him sent to his room for the day?

Re: Famous Five Books - a Quiz
I think that's a great book, and Jock is probably my favourite of the extra characters in the FF series. So I remember that well. He was annoyed that he had to play with Cecil Dearlove and so dressed up as a Native American Indian and chased Cecil with a (toy) Tomahawk.
