Ok.

There was once a dancer called Belle
She didn't say anything, she yelled.
Abi.

Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...

Occasionally will pop in! xx

But now it doesn't rhyme! How about :

There once was a dancer called Belle
Who didn't say anything but yell
'Tis loving and giving that makes life worth living.

There once was a dancer called Belle
Who didn't say anything but yell
She tripped on her skirt;
Messed up her shirt
And down in a tumble-heap fell.

There was an old Fat man called Bert
Who thought it clever to wade through dirt.

Julian and I went up the hill together
and we both sat down on the heather
And Dick came by
and said a Hi
and we talked about the weather :) :)

I found the limerick untouched after quite a few days-- so completed it. 8) 8)

In the merry month of May
When it is lovely to make hay
And birds are singing
And bells are ringing
Everyone's happy all day.

To all Young 'uns and learners - The above is not a true limerick as the lines are too short. The first 2 and last one should have 8 or 9 syllables. Lines 3 and 4 should have 5.
So the above could be:

In the bright and merry month of May
When the farmers start making their hay
The birdies all sing
And church bells do ring
So everyone's happy all day.

(This isn't quite right as the last line has only 8 and the first 2 have 9 syllables but it still sounds okay as the rhythm is there.)
'Tis loving and giving that makes life worth living.
