Peter and Janet ran into Susie,
Who looked pale and kind of woozy.
She'd been at the sherry

Peter and Janet ran into Susie,
Who looked pale and kind of woozy.
She'd been at the sherry
And the cider and perry,
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Peter and Janet ran into Susie,
Who looked pale and kind of woozy.
She'd been at the sherry
And the cider and perry,
And, looking at Pete, she said, "Oo's ee?"
He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green.

I was wondering if we were going to be able to get through that one without using "boozy" and/or "floozy" (although the booze got into it anyway)...

How about:

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

When Noddy went out in his car
Taking his golden specimen jar.
He went over a bump,
And soon got the hump,
"What a lot of trouble one avoids if one refuses to have anything to do with the common herd. To have no job, to devote ones life to literature, is the most wonderful thing in the world. - Cicero

When Noddy went out in his car
Taking his golden specimen jar.
He went over a bump,
And soon got the hump,
When people got splashed, near and far.

 don't blame me!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

When the ingot dropped onto my foot,
I couldn't think where I had put
He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green.

When the ingot dropped onto my foot,
I couldn't think where I had put
The rest of the bars

When the ingot dropped onto my foot,
I couldn't think where I had put
The rest of the bars
Were they in glass jars?

When the ingot dropped onto my foot,
I couldn't think where I had put
The rest of the bars
Were they in glass jars?
Or up the chimney, covered in soot?
He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green.
