But Buster he lunged at Goon's feet
Which looked like two great lumps of meat.
His ankles he bit,

His ankles he bit,
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Young Snubby was gorging on fudge,
"I'm famished" said Ju,
"Need something to chew,"
And gave Snubby a huge knock-out nudge!
(Poor Julian, first we've had him swearing, and now committing violent assault... I'm not sure how he ended up in the same limerick as Snubby, either, but never mind! )
