Uncle Quentin: mardy, bad-tempered, clever, forgetful, sulky, so very much like George, gifted, professor, prisoner, impatient, scientist, husband, dedicated to work, a workaholic even.

Yes, that's what we do. There is no rule, however, banning to come back to a person used before. :)
I suppose Pete wanted to set a challenge with his new person.

New Person Mr Kirrin (Julian,Dick&Annes father....- hardly ever features in the books -
