Over to you.
OK, Silver Ford Granada with black vinyl roof, registration PNO 527R. Which two part episode did this appear in?

Isn't that Mr Johnson's car in Five on Kirren Island?

Cheers

Just have seen "Five go off to camp". I don't want to make you jealous, but it's just wonderful that the series is re-run in German TV. Well, the synchronizing is, let's say, a bit doubtful, but all the same.

Doesn't Mr Andrews, Jock's father, drive a silver Granada with a vinyl top? I couldn't catch the registration :?

It would seem that the Fords driven (mostly) by the "baddies" were recycled a number of times during the series! Five Go Off To Camp was not the episode that I was referring to. It is however, the episode with that wonderful Morris 8 Tourer.

Dick Kirrin wrote:Sorry, the didn't use a Bentley in "get into trouble" they used a Ford, but is was a fourdoor model. A nice car it was by the way, but the size of the boot just didn't fit. George is right in saying that they could all fit in it. They didn't even bother to use KMF 102 as number, the used YHK 646S, if I remember correctly. So, what Ford did they use?
For "Five Get Into Trouble" the car in question was a 4-door Mk II Ford Granada.

As for the number plate:

GEORGE: "So what was the number then, eh, kleptic?"
RICHARD: "VHK 464S."
GEORGE: "Just testing." :)
Petermax wrote:Correct! The vehicle in question is a green Mk2 Ford Escort 1600 Sport, PNO 572R. A quick check on the D.V.L.A website reveals that this vehicle was taxed until 1988 and is therefore unlikely to still be in existence. The sole surviving road vehicle from the 70's series would appear to be the Morris 8 Tourer from Five Go Off To Camp.
I don't recall seeing the number plate off that one, but I do recall another green Mk2 Ford Escort (not a Sport model), PNO 634R, from "Five On A Secret Trail".

Was it in "Five Go To Smuggler's Top"? And if my sources back me well, it was a Mk1 4-door sedan.
