Re: Guess the character

Post by Moonraker »

I am a little girl, and I lead a rather lonely life. My brother is at boarding school, and as there is no school near where I live, I have lessons at home with my governess. We live in a lonely spot, in beautiful country, with hills and rivers all round.

Would that be Betty, from The Boy Next Door?

"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

The Boy Next Door is my favourite book of all times. I've read it thousands of times :)

I am a dark haired boy, and have an older brother and younger sister. We also have the same surname as our cousin.

Thanks for reminding me, Muminah!

I am a boy with a dog called Punch. My best friend, Kenneth, lives next door to me.

I believe it's Nicky Fraser in The Mystery That Never Was, Nigel. :)

Thanks, Nigel. :)

I have a brother called John and a sister called Susan and the three of us go to stay with our grandparents at Greylings Manor.

That would be Jeffrey. And the book was The Treasure Hunters. A brilliant read. :D

Perfectly correct, Julie. :)

I have just finished rereading it and I agree it's a brilliant read.

Your question.
