St Clare's quiz
Re: St Clare's quiz
I rather like Liz's way of holding up the quizzes. I love to think of all you keen types checking in to see if she's logged in, and being disappointed!

Re: St Clare's quiz
Elizabeth used to be online quite a lot, but over the last few months I've hardly ever seen her on line at all!
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

Re: St Clare's quiz
Yeah it's a bit annoying .. is it worth asking Tony to reduce the length of time for some of the quizzes - no the caption comp - to be replied to to a week and not two?

Re: St Clare's quiz
If enough people want the length of time reduced that could be done, though sometimes things crop up unexpectedly - illness or computer problems for example - and a fortnight gives the person concerned a bit more time if they haven't forgotten about the game but have genuinely got held up.

Re: St Clare's quiz
Patience Abi! One day is certainly not enough. I think the way we do it now works quite well most of the time.
Sorry I've just read Abi's post again. I read it as to 1 day at first! I should think by one day hardly makes much difference Abi!

Re: St Clare's quiz
I'm happpy with the fortnight, it does give the other person time if there is a hold up. Also I don't mind anyone giving me a reminder, in fact, I'm glad of it sometimes, as I do forget things! I know some take exception to a gently reminder, but if its allowed then they may accept it better from whoever gives it!

She must be busy with her school. I'm sure the trio will be back in the summer to notch up another 1000 posts in record time.Julie2owlsdene wrote:Elizabeth used to be online quite a lot, but over the last few months I've hardly ever seen her on line at all!

Re: St Clare's quiz
Then realistically she could be around to post here . Also, whilst I understand that it might feel a bit rubbish to be diddled out of your turn on something like the caption thread, these threads are not quite so serious. We've had a lot of instances on this and the MT thread lately where we've been forced to wait nearly a fortnight for a response.

Re: St Clare's quiz
Does Elizabeth not still have two days, 7upromana01?
In came the Taggertys. They were clean, except Biddy knees looked like she had been crawling half a mile in some muddy place.

Re: St Clare's quiz
Assuming we count it from the day Yak posted that Elizabeth had the right answer, then yes, she has until the 20th to respond.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: St Clare's quiz
She evidently is not going to though.
So. Bobby's full name is Roberta Henrietta Ellis.
Tho actually, I think that the person who asked the question prior to Elizabeth gets it, not 7up
